GARNER – Clara Holm, 91, of Garner died Thursday (October 4, 2007) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

Funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Monday at Faith Lutheran Church in Miller with Rose Visser, lay minister, officiating. Burial will be in Ellington Prairie Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 P.M., Sunday at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel in Garner and will continue one hour prior to services at the church.

Clara Holm, the daughter of Adolph D. and Anna Melinda (Hall) Holm, was born October 1, 1916 on a farm northeast of Garner. She was baptized and confirmed at Ellington Prairie Lutheran Church. Clara graduated from Ventura High School and continued her education at Waldorf College in Forest City. Clara lived with her family in Garner. She later moved to Prairie View Apartments in Garner and more recently, due to ill health, Concord Care Center. She enjoyed her family, friends, quilting, handwork, collecting tea cups, entertaining and her trip to Norway.

She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Miller, WELCA and Faith Hope Circle.

Clara was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Dorothy Alice Holm, Jan. 25, 1987; and her brother, Gaylord Holm, January 19, 1998.
