Emily B. Stille

MAPLE GROVE, MN – Emily V. Stille, 93, of Maple Grove, MN, formerly of Webster, WI, died Friday, November 24, 2017 at Ecumen Prairie Lodge in Brooklyn Center, MN.

Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Wednesday, November 29th at Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church in Garner with Rev. Brian Lund officiating. Burial will be in Concord Township Cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.

Emily Brayton Stille, the daughter of Arthur and Edna (Balch) Brayton, was born September 11, 1924 in Des Moines. She grew up in Des Moines where she graduated from high school and attended Drake University. On April 7, 1947 she was married to Russel Stille. They lived in Wisconsin and Minnesota. Later in life, they moved to Maple Grove, MN to be near family. She enjoyed reading mysteries, knitting, doing puzzles, volunteer work in her community and gardening.

Emily is survived by her three children, John Stille, Susan (Richard) Remerowski and James (Kathryn) Stille; seven grandchildren, Amy, Ryan, Jessica, Brayton, Ema, Jake and Kimberly; four great grandchildren, Boston, Hudson, Carter and Jalene; a sister-in-law, Sandra Stille; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russel, July 17, 2015; her parents; and brothers-in-law, Clinton (Jean) Stille and Arvil Stille.
