Emily C. Meyer

BRITT – Emily C. Meyer, 91, of Britt died Monday (July 30, 2007) at the Westview Care Center in Britt.

Funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Thursday at First Lutheran Church in Britt with Rev. Lee Nelson and Janelle Siffring, AiM officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Britt.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. Cataldo Funeral Home in Britt is in charge of arrangements.

Emily Cecile Meyer, the daughter of Chris and Olive (Trask) Anderson, was born September 7, 1915 at Bancroft. She attended country school east of Bancroft until the eighth grade and then helped her parents on the farm. On June 15, 1940 she was married to August E. Meyer at Blue Earth, MN. They made their home at Bancroft until 1962, when they moved to Britt. Emily was a homemaker and cleaned Dr. Camp’s medical office for 15 years. She enjoyed gardening, baking, writing to pen pals, collecting clocks and listening to polka music on the radio.

She was a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church in Titonka and attended First Lutheran Church in Britt.

Emily was preceded in death by her husband, August, July 23, 1998; and her parents.
