GARNER - Mary Ann Eisenmann, 90, of Garner died Monday, July 28, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center - North Iowa in Mason City.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 P.M., Saturday August 2nd at the United Methodist Church in Garner with Rev. Paul Evans officiating. Cremation will follow the service with inurnment at a later date in Bingham Township Cemetery near Woden.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church. Cataldo Funeral Home in Garner is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the Garner United Methodist Church or to the donor's charity of choice.

Mary Ann Eisenmann, the daughter of Clifford and Mattie (Murr) Eisenmann, was born May 27, 1924, on the family farm northwest of Woden. She attended Bingham No. 3 country school and graduated from Woden High School in 1942. She continued her education at Waldorf College in Forest City and Iowa State Teacher's College in Cedar Falls where she received her teaching degree. Mary Ann taught kindergarten in Fort Dodge, Garner, Charles City and Mason City for a total of 40 years. After retiring, she continued to live in Mason City before moving to Garner in 2007. She enjoyed reading, traveling, gardening, crafts and especially, her family. She will always be remembered by her nieces and nephews for teaching them the values of living right, working hard and being considerate of others.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Garner, UMW, PEO Sisterhood FN Chapter, NEA, ISEA, a 50-year member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and charter member of the Woden American Legion Auxiliary.

Mary Ann is survived by her brother, Roy (Mary) Eisenmann of Madison, WI; two sisters-in-law, Clara Eisenmann of Forest City and Emily Eisenmann of Swea City; many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; great-great nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Marlys Rawson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Dean and Paul Eisenmann; an infant brother Wayne; and niece, Lori Twait.
