WODEN - Nettie M. Eden, 85, of Woden died Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at the Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M., Saturday, August 11th at First Presbyterian Church in Woden with Rev. Dr. Glenn Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Bingham Township Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 P.M., Friday at the Cataldo Funeral Home in Woden and will continue one hour prior to services at the church.
Nettie Marie Eden, the daughter of George and Jennie (Bruns) Eden, was born February 15, 1927 on a farm near Woden. She attended school in Woden and graduated from high school in 1946. Nettie lived on the family farm caring for her parents and siblings. After her mother's death in 1976 she continued the farming operation with her brother, Calvin. In 1984 she moved into Woden. She enjoyed cooking and gardening.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Woden, UPW and taught Sunday school for twenty-five years.
Nettie is survived by her brother, Calvin, of Britt; two sisters, Delores (John) Hansen of Minneapolis, MN and Della Manning of Mesa, AZ; a sister-in-law, Darlene Eden Klasse of Forest City; two nieces; and a nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister, Jeanette Mary Eden; brothers, Harold Eden and Glen (Mary) Eden; and a brother-in-law, Curtis Post.
