The family lived near Rowan, and then moved to a farm near Thornton, where she began her schooling. Peggy always said she attended the last one room country school house in Iowa. She graduated from Clarion school when the family had moved to a farm near Lake Cornelia.

They became the parents of Lynn, Robert and Heidi. They lived in Des Moines and Polk City, and then moved to the farm near Crystal Lake.

She enjoyed serving her Lord and was a faithful prayer warrior for her family and friends. Peggy was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Forest City through the years. She has faithfully served as a Sunday School teacher, nursery and AWANA worker, deaconess, Mission circle officer, and State Ladies representative. She was a godly example to her family and friends.
