Sharon Rae Brewer

GARNER - Sharon R. Brewer, 70, of Garner died Friday, September 6, 2013 at the Concord Care Center in Garner.

Graveside services will be held 10 A.M., Saturday, September 14th at Ellington Prairie/Faith Lutheran Cemetery north of Garner with Rose Visser, lay pastor, officiating. Military rites will be provided by the Garner Veterans Ceremonial Unit.

There will be no visitation. Cataldo Funeral Home in Garner is in charge of arrangements.

Sharon Rae Brewer, the daughter of George and Ellen (Volentine) Crawford, was born February 19, 1943 at Algona. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Mason City. Sharon attended school in Mason City graduating from high school in 1961. After graduation, she enlisted in the U.S. Army. Sharon married Jimmy Kosher Brewer while in the service and they later made their home in West Covina, CA. They were blessed with a son, Michael in 1974. Sharon and Jimmy moved to Garner in 1995. She became a resident of Concord Care Center in 2010 where she enjoyed good caregivers and friends. She loved visiting with her sisters and enjoyed watching birds from her window.

Sharon is survived by three sisters, Coleen Findling, Mary Crawford and Patty (Robert) Hestad; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jimmy; son, Michael; and brother-in-law, Leonard Findling.
