Tammy E. Moen Fox

Tamre Eileen (Moen) Fox of Addison, Texas passed away on January 24, 2022 with her two daughters by her side.

A celebration of life will be held from 6 to 9 p.m., Friday, July 15, 2022, at The Mermaid, 2200 Mounds View Blvd., Mounds View, MN 55112. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, July 16, 2022, at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Duncan with Rev. Fr. Ben Valentine officiating.

Tamre Eileen Moen was born on July 16, 1961 in Minneapolis, MN and graduated from Irondale High School in New Brighton, MN in 1979. Tammy, as she was known to friends, brought her own light to any room she entered. We know from everyone we talk to that her light left a lasting impact on anyone it touched. It was known by all who loved her that she would give anything she had to those in need, regardless of her own situation. She had an endless appetite for fun and spending time with those she loved best.

Tammy is survived by her dearly loved daughters, McKenna Eileen Fox (26) and Rachel Ann Hensley (22); her brother, James (Maria) Moen; nephews Bryan and David Moen; niece, Jessica Moen; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Eileen (Formanek) Moen; her father, Joyce Moen; mother-in-law, Nancy Fox; and father-in-law, Ron Fox.

She had wonderful companions in her life. These include her ex-husband Mike Fox who remained a steadfast friend, John Mawer, her partner and friend of almost a decade, her brother’s family who live in Nashville, and a loving circle of family and friends who reside in Minnesota/Iowa where she grew up and spent many happy days over the course of her life.

The family and those who will miss her smile will gather in memory of Tammy on Friday July 15 at 6pm at the Mermaid in New Brighton, Minnesota. On Saturday July 16, which would have been her 61st birthday, her family will gather at the graveside in Duncan, Iowa where she will be laid to rest near her mother, whom she never stopped missing after her passing in 2008.
