Wayne Eugene Anderson, the son of Charley and Lena (Dallman) Anderson, was born March 14, 1920 on the family farm southwest of Britt which his grandfather, August Anderson, Sr. homesteaded. He attended Boone Township country school. Wayne's father, Charley bought the family farm after his parents passed away. Charley was born on this farm and lived there until his death. Wayne was the third generation to work and live on the farm. On December 1, 2007 he moved to the Summit House in Britt. In July of 2012 he entered the Kanawha Community Home.

Wayne was a faithful member of the Evangelical Free Church in Britt for over 65 years. He held various offices in the church in his younger years. In his older years he often went to Westview Care Center in Britt delivering Sunday school papers and Daily Bread devotionals to many of the residents. Due to failing health, he had to give this up in 2007.

Wayne was a quiet man who loved the Lord dearly. He accepted the Lord as his personal Savior at the age of 12. Through the way, Wayne lived his life, and from the sharing of his testimony, he was a witness of his love, faith and devotion to Jesus Christ. Wayne was a "prayer warrior" and dearly loved meeting with his church family. His faith in the Lord gave his life meaning and purpose. God's faithfulness in his life was his strength, hope and comfort.

Left to cherish his memory are his two nieces, Jane (Dwight) Anderson of Garner and Julie (Robert) Fern, Jr. of Plymouth, MN; six grandnephews and grandnieces, Matthew (Nancy) Anderson and daughters, Ashley and Emma of Britt, Jay Anderson of Garner and Thea, Tyler, Tiffany and Trevor Fern of Plymouth, MN; a special cousin, Emil Eisenmann of Swea City; and other cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Maxine (Ted) Rinden; and an infant brother, Dale.
