Alan A. Wille, 87, of Forest City passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at his home in Forest City.
Cremation will take place with burial in Concord Township Cemetery in Garner at a later date.
Alan Arthur Wille, the son of Arthur and Sue (Rasmussen) Wille, was born October 12, 1938 in Kansas City, Missouri. He graduated from Garner High School in 1956 and joined the U.S. Navy. After his honorable discharge in 1959, he returned home to farm and raise dairy cattle west of Garner. Alan was united in marriage to Dorothy Hulseapple and together they raised their four children. Al was employed at Winnebago Industries from 1992 until retiring in 2004. In 2002, he moved to Forest City with his significant other, Judy Kirlin. He enjoyed traveling, spending winters in Texas and Florida, watching TV westerns and was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan.
Al is survived by his four children, Darlene (Larry) Backer of Edgewater, FL and Bayfield, CO, Nancy (Clyde) Gumbert of Hampton, VA, Lynn (Craig) Patterson of Cedar Falls and Rick Wille (Loretta Deetz) of Charles City; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and other family, friends and classmates of GHS 1956.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Carol Sue (Bill) DeBruyn; and significant other, Judy Kirlin.
