Betty A. Rozevink

Betty A. Rozevink, 87, of Mason City passed away Thursday, October 8, 2026 at Good Shepherd Health Care Center in Mason City.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at Cataldo Funeral Chapel, 160 E. 4th St., Garner with Rev. Scott Kozisek officiating. Burial will be at Concord Township Cemetery in Garner.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral chapel on Tuesday.

Betty Ann Rozevink, the daughter of Ralph and Eva (Haynes) Gettle, was born October 20, 1938 in Marshalltown. She attended and graduated from Garwin High School in 1956. She continued her education at the Evangelical School of Nursing in Marshalltown where she received her nursing degree in 1959. Betty worked as a registered nurse in Iowa and California until her retirement. On September 17, 1988 she was married to Ralph Rozevink in Denver, CO. They lived in several cities in Iowa and California before moving back to Iowa in 2003. In 2013, they moved from Waterloo to Garner to be closer to family. She enjoyed crocheting, needlework and being a nurse.

Betty is survived by her two children, Kenneth Sands of Waterloo and Sandy (Mark) Hiscocks of Garner; grandchildren, Scott (Jenna) Britson and their three children, Drew, Sadie and Kyler all of Garner and Matt Hiscocks of Garner; three step children, Ray (Linda) Rozevink and family, Ranae (Paul) Fredriksen and family and Rod (Marcia) Rozevink and family; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; parents; sons, Gerald Wakkinen and Mark Sands; step-sons, Dan and Mike Wakkinen; and two sisters, Charlotte Verbraken and Geraldine Zmolck;
