Daniel A. Van Note

Daniel A. Van Note, 74, of Garner passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center.

There will be no visitation or services. According to his wishes, he will be cremated.

Daniel Allen Van Note, the son of Allen and Arlys (Grell) Van Note, was born July 29, 1952, in Mason City. He graduated from Garner-Hayfield High School in 1970. Dan made his home in Garner and was employed at Winnebago Industries in Forest City for most of his life.

He is survived by his sister, Dena Mauch of Ankeny; a niece, Tiffany; and his special friend, Becky Schnebly of Forest City.

He was preceded in death by his father, Allen, Sept. 30, 1987, and his mother, Arlys, March 31, 2013.
