Born on March 24, 1967, in Ontario, California, Donna was a proud graduate of Chaffey High School, Class of 1985. Her path in life took her to Garner, where she became a beloved member of the community and well known for her role as a cook at Mat’s Place. Donna found true joy in the kitchen—cooking, baking, and serving up her famous pies and desserts, always eager to share her creations with friends and family.
Donna had a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. She loved the outdoors—camping, fishing, gardening, or relaxing near the water. She was also an avid reader of romance novels, a movie lover, and always cherished a quiet evening with a glass of wine and good company.
Above all, Donna was a devoted mother. Her son, James, was the center of her world—her greatest pride and joy. She raised him with love, guidance, and unwavering support, always encouraging him to walk a path of kindness and integrity.
Donna’s faith was an important part of her life. She believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and carried her faith with quiet strength and grace.
Donna is survived by her loving son, James Michael Heginger; her sister, Susan Kathleen Gonzales, and brother-in-law, Ronald Philip Gonzales; her nieces, Jennifer Diane Smith (Brandon) and Julia Rae Stover (Bradley); and her cherished great-nephew and great-niece, Liam Hunter Randall and Cara Grace Smith.
She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Carol Ann Wilder, her stepfather, Henry "Hank" Wilder, and her grandparents, Ann Marie Nason and Carl Nason.
Donna’s warmth, laughter, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
