Evelyn “Lynne” C. Quintus 92, of Garner, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Concord Care Center, Garner.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 23, 2026, at the United Presbyterian Church in Garner with Rev. David Skilling officiating. Burial will follow at Concord Township Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Thursday at Cataldo Funeral Chapel, 160 E. 4th St., Garner and will continue one hour prior to service at the church.
Memorials may be directed to the United Presbyterian Church.
Evelyn Carmela Quintus, the daughter of Ernest and Bessie (Pezzullo) Borelli was born in Providence, Rhode Island, at home on February 15, 1933. On July 26, 1952 she married Donald Quintus in Providence, Rhode Island. Don and Lynne began farming in 1960 and retired in 1999. Lynne enjoyed working at the Belmond Klemme school in the kitchen for several years. She enjoyed volunteering at Mercy One Hospital, helping patients in the surgery department for 20 years. Don and Lynne traveled around the country to his Navy reunions of sailors of the USS Harlan Dickson.
She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, active in U.P. Women’s Ministry, and sang in the choir.
Lynne is survived by her two sons, Ken (Deb) Quintus of Garner and their two daughters, Ellen (Eric) Schulte and their four children, Ava, Hayden, Nolan, and Cora and Lauren (Nathanael) Gilkerson and their six children, Evelina, Rosina, Ian, Giana, Carmela, and Kamyra; Brad Quintus (Laura) of Mesa, AZ, and daughters, Erin (Mackenzie) Quintus, Nicole (Eric) Heynssens, Amanda (Cory) Hughes and their sons, Ethan and Hank; stepchildren, Anthony (Julina) Villotti, and their daughter, Mylah and Julie (Ryan) Cowels, and their daughter, Delilah; two sisters, Rose Croghan and Mary Cervone; a brother, Ernest Borrelli and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don in 2010; her parents; grandson, Reed Quintus; two brothers, Victor and Anthony Borrelli; and three sisters, Margaret Moore, Antonette Thistle, and Anna Rotundo.
