Janice P. Blaisdell, 76, of Garner, formally of Sugarloaf, California, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2025, at Concord Care Center in Garner
A private family graveside service will be held at Saint Boniface Catholic Cemetery in Garner.
Janice Pauline Blaisdell, the daughter of Eugene and Pauline (Rodrique) Labonte, was born July 11, 1949, in Maine. She grew up in Southern California and graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic grade school and Whittier High School both in California.
In 1967, after graduating from high school, Janice worked primarily in accounting in Southern California. She married Maurice Blaisdale in California. They shared many interests, including owning horses and participating in local parades while riding them. Also, Janice & Maurice once owned and worked in their Tack Shop. Later, they owned a small yacht and were active in a Yacht Club in Newport Beach, California. Dawn Macias, her daughter, was born in 1967. Dawn also attended Saint Mary’s and Whittier High School.
In 2019, Janice, moved to Garner, from Sugarloaf, California the San Bernardino Mountains Area. She loved the small city feel of Garner and enjoyed being closer to her sister, Marie Schulz. An interest of hers was going to little antique shops all around Garner, to find items that would look really cute in her house in Garner.
She was survived by a grandson, Wayne Mills; four sisters, Joline (Steve) Parchman of Gardnerville, Nevada; Susan Robertson of Tularosa, New Mexico; Marie (Greg) Schulz of Garner and Marcella Labonte of Gardnerville, Nevada.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Eugene Labonte J; husband, Maurice; daughter, Dawn Macias; and brother-in-law, Ray Robinson.
