Jesse E. Pringnitz

Jesse E. Pringnitz, 58, of Garner passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at Apple Valley Place of Charles City.

A memorial visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday, August 23rd at Cataldo Funeral Chapel, 160 E. 4th St., Garner.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Hancock County Fair.

Jesse Eugene Pringnitz, the son of Dale and Jane (Charbonneaux) Pringnitz, was born on June 28, 1968, in Britt. He grew up on a farm south of Garner and graduated from Britt High School in 1986. Jesse continued his education at Northwest Iowa Technical College in Sheldon in the automotive technician program. On June 17, 1989, he married Angela Ruter in Kanawha. They lived on the Pringnitz family farm west of Garner, where they raised their children, Kelsi and Jake. Jesse worked at T & R Repair, Power Pro, Circle H Implement, and raised hogs with his brother, Jerry. He started Pringnitz Custom doing custom spraying and snow removal, and then also started farming on his own. He enjoyed truck and tractor pulling, showing pigs with his kids, and farming.

He was a member of the Garner United Methodist Church and the Garner Lions Club.

Jesse is survived by his two children, Kelsi Tobin and friend, Tom Bannwarth, of Mitchell, SD, and their daughter, Jewel, and one on the way, and Jake Pringnitz and his wife, Nicole, of Garner and their two children, Beau and Gentry, and one on the way. He is also survived by Angela Pringnitz of Garner; siblings, Chris (Eric) Jackson, Jerry (Karrie) Pringnitz and Roy (Jami) Hrubes; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dale in 2016 and Jane in 2023.
