On December 27, 1962, she was married to Forest Cutshall in Oskaloosa. They moved to the north Iowa area, living on farms southwest of Britt, east of Corwith, and south of Kanawha, until moving to Britt in 1975. Leta worked at Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt for twelve years, retiring in 1989. She enjoyed her family, reading, embroidering, and word seek.
She was a member of Britt Evangelical Free Church where she taught Sunday school, Vacation Bible School, guided a Bible study and was active in AWANA.
