Lisa was born on July 23, 1967 in Britt, IA to Bonnie (Molander) Jacobsen and Hugh Cagle. Lisa was a protective big sister to Jason Cagle, now of Plano, TX. She attended and graduated from Garner-Hayfield High School in 1985, followed by a BSN degree from the University of Iowa in 1989. On August 12, 1989, Lisa was married to Tracy Schrader at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Garner, Iowa. The couple moved to Dallas, TX where Lisa worked as a nurse. They were blessed with two wonderful children, Lauren (19) and Kyle (16) Schrader. Shortly after having Lauren, Lisa decided to put her nursing career on hold to be able to dedicate her time to raising her children. Lisa was very active in her church, St. Patrick of Dallas, where her children also went to school. She was a member of the choir, Parish Council, and numerous other church groups. She also volunteered heavily at the school, including being the school nurse. Lisa divorced in 2010 and became more involved with her work in the church. She was so involved that St. Patrick officially brought her on board as a member of the church staff where she fulfilled the role of Liturgical Director. Most recently, Lisa started and led the Grief Counseling Support group for St. Patrick, where she assisted many friends and family during times of loss. In 2011, Lisa met and fell in love with John Solomon. They loved each other's family and enjoyed traveling, the most memorable trip was to Rome, Italy in 2012 with Lauren's school choir, the Bishop Lynch A Capella Choir. John and Lisa were engaged to be married. Lisa loved her family and friends dearly. There wasn't a soul that she met that wasn't impacted by her contagious smile and love for God. Lisa also loved to sing and a good glass of wine. She was active in her daughter Lauren's Girl Scout troop as well as the Girl Scout organization in Dallas. She loved attending all of Kyle and Lauren's sports and activities. Her involvement with her children led to her meeting many people and touching even more lives.

Survivors include her two children, Lauren and Kyle Schrader of Dallas, TX; parents, Bonnie and Stephen Jacobsen of Coon Rapids, MN; brother, Jason (Jodi) Cagle of Plano, TX; grandmother, Mary Halberstadt of Charles City, IA; and fiancé, John Solomon and his children Sam and Sydnee of Allen, TX.
