Millie J. Ricke, 85, of Garner, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Country Meadow Place in Mason City.

 A memorial mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Duncan with Fr. Andrew Marr officiating. Inurnment will be at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery.

 A memorial visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, October 28th at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Duncan with a rosary at 4:30 pm followed by a Scriptural wake service.

Mildred Jane Ricke, the daughter of Sam and Tillie (Gerber) Mogler, was born August 26, 1939 in Kossuth County, Iowa. She was raised on the family farm east of Whittemore and graduated from Whittemore High School. Millie was united in marriage to Harlan Bonnstetter at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in West Bend. The couple had four children and lived on a farm north of West Bend. Millie was united in marriage to Dean Ricke on January 23, 1993 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Duncan. She enjoyed being a farm wife, cooking, gardening, playing games, cards and hanging with friends. Many people enjoyed her love of baking pies, cookies and her favorite chocolate and rice Krispie pin wheels. She also enjoyed canning and making her favorite rhubarb jelly. Dean and Millie spent 27 years during the winter months in Weslaco, Texas. They were very involved in all the activities, potlucks and social times with all the winter Texans.

 She was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters of the Americas in West Bend.

 Millie is survived by her husband Dean of Garner; children, Tim (Deb) Bonnstetter of Remsen, IA, Jeff (Pam) Bonnstetter of West Bend, Kyle (McKinsie) Bonnstetter of Franklin, TN, Rhonda McCartan of West Des Moines, Randy (Lisa) Ricke of Ventura, Mark (Carrie) Ricke of Garner, Marvin (Jane) Ricke of Garner, Sandy (Kevin) Hanson of Buffalo, MN, Terry (Kristin) Ricke of Johnston, IA and Jerry (Sandi) Ricke of Omaha, NE; 28 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jeanette Montgomery of Sabetha, KS, Esther Williams Day of Estherville, and Ruth (Ken) Kerber of Emmetsburg; brothers, Kenneth Mogler of Sioux City, Calvin (Joyce) Mogler of Fort Dodge and Art (Eula) Mogler of West Bend; and many nieces and nephews.

 She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Bob McCartan; sisters, Arlene Esslinger, Verlas Meyer, Lucinda Berninghaus, and Bernice Erickson; and brothers, Marvin, Robert and Duane Mogler.
