Noreen K. Jenkins

Noreen K. Jenkins, 79, of Garner passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at the Rehabilitation Center of Belmond.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 25th at the United Presbyterian Church in Garner with Rev. David Skilling officiating. Burial will be in Concord Township Cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.

Noreen Kaye Jenkins, the daughter of Norman and Alvera (Dethmers) Bell, was born on November 22, 1946 in Hull, Iowa. She graduated from Boyden-Hull High School in 1966. Noreen worked at Campbell’s Soup in Worthington, MN. On June 3, 1972, she was married to Richard Jenkins at First Reformed Church in Boyden. In 1973, they moved to Garner where Noreen was employed at Alco until her retirement. In 2019, she and Rich moved to Clarion and in 2021 to the Rehabilitation Center of Belmond. She enjoyed reading, attending activities, playing games on her tablet, and doing craft work.

She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Garner.

Noreen is survived by her husband, Richard Jenkins, of Belmond; foster son, Tan (Khanh) Tran of Salt Lake City, UT and their children, David, James and Phillip; a nephew, Samuel (Elizabeth) Bell Pullen of Los Angeles, CA; and a niece, Emily (Courtney) Bell Pullen of Beacon,NY.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Leanna Bell; and Leanna’s husband, James Pullen.
