Patricia L. Lichtsinn

Patricia L. Lichtsinn, 73, of Forest City, died Monday, July 28, 2014 at the Mercy Medical Center North Iowa. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 30, 2014 from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. with a Celebration of Life service starting at 7:00 P.M. at the Petersen Lund Funeral Home, 505 North Clark St. Forest City with Pastor Ed Bard, Chaplain-Hospice of North Iowa officiating. Interment will be held in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Pat was born on May 30, 1941 in Des Moines, Iowa to Jane and Pete Gripp. She was an only child. Pat raised her 4 children, Rob, Chris, Holly and Ron in Clear Lake and Forest City, Iowa. She loved her family and friends dearly.
Known for her ease in conversation with even total strangers, she possessed a contagious smile and an entertaining sense of humor. Throughout her life she maintained a spunky and simple demeanor that won the hearts of many. Her interests included family, friends, reading, playing cards & games, and traveling.
Pat is survived by her children, Rob of Kansas City, MO; Chris and her husband Jon of Edmond, OK; Holly and her husband Bruce of Apex, NC; Ron and his wife Hope of Forest City, IA; and seven grandchildren: Eron, Miranda, Haley, Zoe, Sydney, Ryland and Gavin.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
