FOREST CITY - Rozella M. Boman, 97, of Forest City, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at the Hancock Memorial Hospital in Britt.

Rozella was born December 10, 1916 to Grover B. and Emma (Nelson) Chryst, in Forest City, Iowa. She graduated from Forest City High School in 1934 and attended Waldorf College. She was employed in the Winnebago County Auditor's office, the Abstract office and the Department of Social Services. On November 4, 1950, she married Juel P. Boman and they were blessed with 33 years of marriage.
Rozella accepted the Lord as her Savior at an early age and was a member of the Calvary Baptist church where she served as a church pianist and organist, Sunday School teacher, choir member and member of the Ladies Mission Circle.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Johnson of Forest City, step-daughter Kathryn Kirkwood of Butler, PA, grandsons Brandon, Brian and Timothy Rollefson, Joel Kirkwood and great-grandchildren Christian Rollefson and Jade Rollefson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son-in-law John Kirkwood and a grandson, Jared Kirkwood.
